Season
The 2019 vintage was long and cool, picking occurred 2 weeks later than we traditionally do, the cool
conditions allowed the grapes too slowly ripen resulting in perfectly balanced flavours and natural acidity.
Winemaking
Machine harvesting during the cool of the night in order to maintain optimal fruit integrity. The grapes are
destemmed, crushed and pressed under cool gentle conditions. The unfermented grape juice is soaked
on its skins for 5 hours prior to the juice being pressed off to a holding tank. Cold fermentation ensures
that the fruit flavours and aromas are conserved in the finished wine.
Tasting notes
This Rosé is delicate, yet complex, it has a fragrant bouquet with notes of nashi pear and citrus. Wild
fermentation in French oak barrels has delivered a palate that is lively and refreshing with spicy red
berries, watermelon and citrus fruits. The perfect summer wine.
